What we collect

• Your email address, used for sign-in and the email notifications you enable.
• Your first name. Ever does not ask for or store a last name.
• Your birth date, used to confirm you are an adult and calculate the age shown to other people. We never show your birth date to another person.
• One profile photo. Anyone Ever offers you a date with can see it before either of you accepts. Your profile is not public or searchable, and Ever's matching system never uses or ranks the photo. A moderator can also see it when reviewing a report.
• The latest location you chose, used privately for distance-based matching and never shown to another user. You can use a device coordinate, an approximate city derived from your connection's IP address, or Ever+ travel mode. We never read device location in the background or build a location history. Typed places are sent to a geocoder.
• Messages you send to a Connection. Dates themselves carry no text at all.
• Answers used for mutual filtering: gender, who you'd like to meet, what you're looking for, children, smoking, drinking, languages, and religion. Ever uses them only to decide matching eligibility. It does not sell them or use them for advertising.
• One still frame from a video date, kept only when the moderation detector running on your own device flags explicit exposure on camera. Nothing about a date is recorded or stored otherwise: no video, no audio, no transcript, and no audio is sampled at all. When the detector fires, the call ends immediately for both people and that single frame is uploaded with the report it files. It is shown only to a moderator reviewing that report, and it is deleted after 30 days.
• First-party product analytics: which screens were used and whether a date connected.
• Crash and stability reports.

What we deliberately do not collect

• No audio recording, video recording, or transcript is stored by Ever or its provider. A detector-triggered report can include one still image, described above.
• No contacts, address book, or “people you may know”.
• No background location.
• No biometric template. The liveness check compares and deletes; what is stored is a yes or no.
• No advertising identifiers, no third-party ad SDKs, and no data brokers.

Third-party services

Stripe handles subscriptions. Photon and Nominatim handle location searches. None receives an Ever profile.

• Stripe, if you subscribe. They handle the payment; we never see your card.
• If you type a location, your device sends the text to Photon, a public OpenStreetMap geocoder run by komoot. Photon uses it to return a coordinate. Photon sees your IP address and the text you entered, but it does not receive your Ever account or name.
• If you tap Use my location, your device sends the coordinate to Nominatim, the public OpenStreetMap reverse geocoder. Nominatim returns a postal code or a town and state. It sees your IP address and coordinate, but not your Ever account or name. This happens only after you tap the button.

How long we keep it

• Call audio, call video, and transcripts: never stored. A detector-triggered still image: 30 days.
• Presence and matching diagnostics: 30 days.
• Date details, including who you met, when, and for how long: 12 months, then aggregated.
• Your Again / Not-this-time choices: 12 months.
• Active Connections: while either person keeps the Connection open. After it ends, we remove it after 30 days.
• Messages: until the Connection ends, plus 30 days. On unmatch they are hidden from both people immediately.
• Reports and moderation records: 3 years, because safety and the law both require it.

Your choices

You can pause your account, export your data from Settings, or delete your account. Deletion hides the account immediately and purges it after seven days.

Sensitive categories

Some answers, including who you'd like to meet and religion, are sensitive under privacy laws. Ever uses them only for mutual filtering. You can change or remove them by editing your profile.
